How can I apply for assistance from the Troy Ministries Unlimited Food Pantry?

Who is eligible to receive assistance from the Troy Ministries Unlimited Food Pantry?

You must live in the towns of Troy, St. Jacob, or Marine or have a student in the Triad School District.  Patrons must present a picture ID and a bill with current address at each shopping visit.

How frequently can a patron receive assistance?

You are eligible to receive services every other week.

How do I schedule a time to come to the pantry?

Operating hours and Shopping hours are currently posted on the website.  Patrons must call during operating hours at least one day prior to the desired day of shopping to schedule a shopping time slot.  Time slots are first come first serve. 

How does the pantry distribute the items?

Patrons contact the food pantry via phone to schedule a time to come in and “shop”.   Quantity limits for items are established based on family size.  A volunteer assists the patron has they “shop” the pantry and pick their items.
 
Items may include beverages, meat, bread, milk, eggs, health and beauty products such as shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, razors, feminine products, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, canned and dried beans, canned meat (tuna, chicken, spam), condiments, cleaning supplies, rice, mashed potatoes, cereal, crackers, pancake mix, oatmeal, syrup and more!
 
If one is home-bound, contact the food pantry via phone 618-505-5053 to request delivery.  Every effort will be made to arrange home delivery.

When are donations accepted?

During operating hours and anytime the pantry is open-check this website for current hours!

How can I make a monetary donation?

You can mail a check to Ministries Unlimited at 310 Collinsville Rd., Troy, IL 62294.  You can also submit a donation through PayPal

Why does the pantry also need monetary donations?

In addition to distributing the items donated, Ministries Unlimited purchases bread, milk, eggs, cheese, meat for distribution.  The current food drives do not meet the annual needs of the current patrons.  As such, Ministries Unlimited purchases items to ensure adequate stock throughout the year.
 
Ministries Unlimited supports the area churches and provides funds for the summer lunch program.
 
Ministries Unlimited must pay the utilities and up keep on the building
 
Ministries Unlimited offers an annual Lucille Schmalz Community Service scholarship.
 
Ministries Unlimited partners with Triad School district to purchase food for students in need.

Does Ministries Unlimited accept clothing donations?

We do not, but we direct individuals to Grandma's Attic with the Maryville Outreach Center.
